It seems that a new hybrid publisher is popping up every week. One of the things that was a draw to me about Manhattan Book Group is its connection with JJ hebert and Mariel Hemingway. Most of the other hybrid publishers don't have any identifiable names behind their companies. Every week, it seems like there is a new hybrid publisher emerging. The Manhattan Book Group's association with JJ Hebert and Mariel Hemingway is among the elements that drew me in. The majority of other hybrid publishers don't have any well-known brands associated with them. MBG publishers fulfilled their commitment and provided what was stated. This is all very new to me. I think I required a lot more support than I'd like to admit. I'm in the editing phase. I didn't want to go all in yet until the editing is done. I got my first round of edits back last week and I'm impressed. There were about 400 changes to my story which sounds like a lot, but it was spread out over 200 pages. Still, if those issues hadn't been identified, my book would be a serious disappointment to readers. I can tell just by the editing that they mean business. They truly want the best version of your book to be available to the public. Not like other “hybrid publishers” that don't spend the time to thoroughly edit, or so I've heard.
